Post [rev20]Community Builder compatibility
One important thing to be able to use your component in a Joomla environnement would be a full Community Builder integration. I know there is a long list of component that use a compatibility plugin to integrate in Community Builder.

CB is a most for any Joomla website, so i think it should be compatible.

Right now, there is no conflict with it, but when you try to update your profile picture, or your info in Community Builder, you get a SQL error, because the jos_user table was changed by your component, probably because your component add some new columns like ratio, group, etc...

I am pretty sure it is not a big thing to build a plugin for CB.

Our actual tracker counts over 11 000 members, and we would like to change for Joomla with your components as soon as possible. i am in test period right now, and i think it is great already. If we could just integrate CB smoothly, we could then move to Joomla in the next few months.

I saw that we now have integration of comments with jComments, thanks a lot for that. I was looking for a way to add a comment system on every torrentpage...but your integration will save me from hard coding in files.

Keep up the good work, and thanks again for this great component.

I believe this could be the future of torrent tracker website...full integration in the best and well-known CMS Joomla. Anybody could then run a torrent tracker without being a geek or a wizard (aside from the XBT backend part which is not simple for common people)

I will continue to test it, waiting for our big move...

I would gladly incorporate it with CB but the integration manual doesn't have any info and there's a manual that you must pay to get it.

I'll post a topic in their forums and see if they want to work together. If not I must take a look at CB code and try to understand it.

Please contact me if you want the manual, i can provide it to you, i am a full member of the Joomlapolis website.

Also i was wondering if you think the upgrade option of your components will be available in the next version...because from what i've tested so far it is working enough for me to test it live with a couple of thousands users...but it is just impossible to lose everything (categories, torrents, groups, etc) from one version to another...

I would like for now to test it live, but i would keep our actual tracker working also...waiting for the day this components will be ready and mature to take our actual site's place.
So i would like to run a test tracker with your components, and i would invite all my members to test it...what i had in mind is to put only 1 category on this test tracker, so my members would have to use this one for torrents in this category...let's say HD-RIP...so we could test your components with lots of members, without the fear of losing our actual website...the best of both world, until the day we change everything.

But the only thing left is the upgrade option...

Thanks. keep up the good work !

I'll re-enable the upgrade option in the next version. I have to add some checks so that the install wont end in error when we upgrade between versions

I've made some basic tests with CB and it seems to have fixed the incompatibility.

I need to know if anyone has some time to do some tests with the com_tracker and CB.

Well I have a site with 8000 members and we are waiting the CB integration as well. So good luck with the 20th revision! :).

P.S.
Just for information there is a component called AlphaUserPoints. Basically this component gives you points reward for your activity in joomla and has many integration plugins. So you may take a look and think about a plugin. :)

Can you please try the latest revision with a copy of your site (just in case something goes wrong)?

I try com_tracker r25 with CB 1.4, and, when i try to modify a CB profile, there is a bdd error to update the datas in "#__users" with fiels added by com_tracker.

the error show that there is unknown fields in the query (id_level, etc ...).

where is the problem ?

How to use CB inegration? I mean where I can see integration results? At now I don't see any new fields or tabs in CB. In user's stats in tracker I also can't see links on CB profile...

P.S. In future revisions need button to "run CB integration" if I install CB after com_tracker.
